The Beginning

Born from a simple realization.

At Karigiri Fashions, we believe that true craft deserves a global stage. Founded by Prateek Gupta, Karigiri was born from a simple yet powerful realization — that the women artisans behind Lucknow's legendary Chikankari embroidery were doing extraordinary work, largely unseen and undervalued.

With a background spanning multiple industries including technology, Prateek brought a fresh perspective to a centuries-old craft. He saw an opportunity not just to build a business, but to build a bridge — one that connects the skilled hands of Lucknow's craftswomen directly to customers across India and beyond, cutting out the middlemen and ensuring every piece reaches you fresh from the source.
